Hows it looks so far? I just started overclocking about 3 days ago. Right now I'm doing a stability test that's been running for about 30 min so far and going to leave it on for a couple of hours.

Some questions I have is I have my cpu voltage set at 1.395 right now and how come it spikes up during full load to 1.43? I enabled the CPU load-line calibration. Is this normal with that enabled?

My core temperatures are at 52c and CPU socket temperatures read 44c. Since people are telling me to not overclock over 55c I guess I just about hit max overclocking.

Another question is not sure how to nb overclock. Right now I have it at 2000mhz. What kind of performance gain would I see if i overclock the nb? Is it the same as overclocking the cpu? just change the multi and if unstable during stability testing increase the voltage? Which temperatures do I read off of? Whats max temp? And CPU - NB Load line Calibration do I have to enable this feature too to overclock nb?

Fix my Bios:
AI tweaker
CPU ratio - 20
CPU bus frequency - 200
PCIE frequency - 100
DRAM frequency - Auto
CPU/NB Frequency - Auto
HT Link Speed - Auto

------------------------------------------------------
CPU & NB Voltage Mode - Manual
CPU Voltage - 1.4
CPU/NB Voltage - 1.1 [Auto]
CPU VDDA Voltage - 2.490 [Auto]
DRAM Voltage - 1.55 [Auto]
HT Voltage - 1.2 [Auto]
NB 1.8v Voltage - 1.8 [Auto]
SB Voltage - 1.1 [Auto]
Sideport Memory Voltage - 1.5 [Auto]
------------------------------------------------------
CPU Load-Line Calibration - [Enabled]
CPU - NB Load line Calibration - [Auto]
CPU Spread Spectrum - disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum - disabled

Hey. Looks like a good Oc to me. At that cpu volt It looks good. U wiil see a nice performance boost if U oc the nb to 2600--->. But remeber if U cranck up the cpu-nb volt if will effect temps on cpu. Same way to oc the nb as the cpu. U have it all figured out. U dont need the llc for cpu and nb but no problem doing so. It only boost volts if need under load. U use the llc to avoid something called vdroop

Get that RAM voltage down to 1.5 if you are running generic memory

Can you explain what generic memory is?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-311-_-Product

Is this generic?

Yes, that is generic. Stick DDR3 memory with speeds/timings of 1066 CL7, 1333 CL9, or less/worse, it is a generic spec. Generic spec memory is usually the kind you find in prebuilts. For a custom built computer you should be buying at least a mainstream performance 1600Mhz kit, they often cost the same price or lower even, and give you plenty of advantages.

get that northbridge up for increased goodness...that is a pretty good clock at that voltage although if it auto jumps to 1.43 that is a bit more in line with what I would think it would need.

When I overclock the northbridge and it becomes unstable, which voltage do I increase? cpu nb voltage or nb voltage? which temperatures do i look at and which of these increases cpu temperature? And how much is too much?

When testing the nb overclock, do you use the same stability testing from prime95 for testing a cpu? 1.3 volts is max right?
I currently have cpu nb voltage set at auto. Nb is running at 2400mhz. cpu nb load line calibration set at auto. I'm shooting for 2800mhz

Set CPU/NB voltage manually. Auto will bump it up @ 1.50V at higher clocks(2800-3000)
Use P95-blend
