Just so you guys know, Tcase is not the same thing as core temps!
If a CPU has a "Tcase max" of 72 degrees C, this does NOT mean that it will start throttling at 73 degrees core temp! Tcase is the temp measured from the Integrated heat spreader, by a diode or thermometer close to the CPU. This is usually the temp that is shown as "CPU" in the bios health options, or in some monitoring programs.

Core temp is completely different.
Core temp is the actual temp INSIDE the IHS, measured by a digital sensor on the CPU itself, that calculates how close the CPU is to Tjunction. And since the core temp is HOTTER than the temp on the IHS, it's naturally going to be higher.

The Tcase temps can also vary between two chips of the exact same default VID and batch (which puts them in the same power and voltage envelope), just from the IHS being soldered poorly onto the top of the CPU cores.

There's no clear direct formula to relate core temps to Tcase temps, but the core temp tends to be around 15 C hotter than the Tcase/IHS temps. (You can check that in a monitoring program that will show the CPU temp to be a lot lower than the temp shown in Realtemp or Coretemp.

So if you're getting 85 degrees C in realtemp, don't start panicking. You're still below TcaseMax so you're fine. But lower temps are always better. But when you're pushing a lot of vcore through a cpu, it's always better to keep the temps as low as possible. 85C with 1.25v vcore is high for that vcore but 100% fine and will cause NO damage whatsoever. 85C at 1.5v, however, IS a serious cause for concern.

Also, the TcaseMax rating for the cpu's also is based on the temps running at STOCK clocks and STOCK voltages. When you start overclocking, then all balls are off the table, and saying "I'm below Tcase max" means absolutely nothing if you're overclocking! Since you're running the cpu's out of specification.

Keep that in mind.
