See a grown man cry anyone?

Thread Starter
Just started building the system today to get it goin, and for some reason it would power up right, so checked everything out, all looked good, pulled cpu and their appears to be a damn pin bent or missing.
And what sux is the maximus is backordered everywhere so wonder how long a rma is gonna take.
Got all the parts finally for the build and as my sig shows thats them.
but now minus the maximus till it gets fixed or replaced.
This sux.

That's not too bad.

My res overflowed during filling and spilt all over my 5970. Screw crying, I almost had an aneurism.

Sorry to hear that..that's what I dislike about putting together a computer...you put it all together only to find out that something has gone awry...or, in your case, the pins are bent..I'm very paranoid in that respect..I recently put together a few builds..my sig rig being the most recent..I had the techs unbox and show me all the pins before I purchased it..I prefer going into stores to get my products..that way if there is a problem..I know who to yell at and hold accountable

I feel your pain OP, but:

When I first installed my loop and powered up for leak testing (luckily with a spare psu) water sprayed out from my parallel bridge and drowned my 580's.

I had a minor stroke that day.

This.

I not only buy my CPU from a store, but I also buy my HDD there as well. I don't really trust the delivery services with the fragile tech.

Thats OK. I snapped the nicest motherboard Ive ever had in half and pulled the Chipset off before I realized that the CPU died, not the motherboard.
