Dead space 2's graphic is the superior to Crysis 2, IMO.
Thank you. Haven't tried Dead Space 2. Doubt it, but could be possible.

Every game that I have throughly enjoyed has had average graphics but GREAT gameplay. Crysis 2 is an interesting balance of both.

Ah, Radeon 4860 user. ^^People like this complaining about the game, when the gameplay is superior in almost everyway, and the game is more well optimized. You don't even have the minimum video card requirement for Crysis 1, and saying that it "sucks" and not going into detail is a pointless statement.

Ya, it is a little disappointing

Yes, unfortunately Crysis 2 is not a benchmark eh ?

You don't know a thing about what your talking about. The game runs on a SINGLE core processor fine and still looks better then 95% of the games out there. There isn't a single game you can compare that can give you visuals like that with system requirements like that. Game doesn't say "Start to Enter". I'm going to end it right there. Your grammar and referring to someone who decided to create a community tool in order to improve other people's experience with this game as a "basement nerd" is quite stupid, and goes to show your level of intellect.

For the effort that was put into Crysis and Warhead, Crysis 2 could've easily had settings to run in its current state, and still had improved visuals for those that opted for it. Stop saying that we're complaining that it runs well; we're not; it's bloody awesome that a solid looking game runs on relatively cheap hardware, and I doubt you'll find anyone to disagree.

I think we're just disappointed that Crytek essentially took away everything that made Crysis what it was.
They released it fully knowing that it would take future hardware to run their game well; it was more just to say "hey, we were able to do that even back then." It still looked damn good on lowered settings, next to everything else that was on the market. Now, we've got a game that shows essentially no difference between a "cheap" computer and a powerhouse. At this point, it just feels like laziness to see a developer like Crytek release something that effectively doesn't stand up to the effect its successor had on the market.
In addition to graphics, we now have a relatively linear game, when its successors gave some openness to the world, or at least the feel of it. They also took away the feel of the originals. I can't really put that last detail into words; it's something you either immediately understand from really playing the originals, or you don't. So no, I'm not judging it entirely on graphics.

Crysis 2 isn't bad. Hell no. Anyone who says so is delirious. It's fun, sure; but it doesn't seem to be a proper successor.

Unfortunately, many people are getting too worked up about silly details, and making thread upon thread, post after post, on why they think the game is a failure. Or, in your case, making a pointless thread in defense of your opinion.
By the way, it's hard to take a post seriously when half of said post consists of exaggerated, childish quotes, a picture of a crying baby, and unnecessary bolding.

it's a video game... if you don't like it don't buy it. What is the point of crying over a video game? Especially when there is nothing you can do about it besides NOT buy it. I've never played the first crysis but I bought crysis 2 and I think it is very fun. It looks GREAT. Maybe it does not look as good as they could have made it but oh well games aren't only about graphics. Face it, no matter what they say, a company making a game for consoles and PC is never going to put more time into the PC game than the consoles. If you were a company would you? Also this site is a small percentage of the crysis 2 sales. There are a ton of people who bought crysis 2 for PC who think it is great and don't care if it broke graphical records. Truth of the matter is the company doesn't care what the people on this forum think they care what the majority of the population who bought this game think.

basically all I am saying is it is a fun game. If you don't like it.... great! don't buy it. Just stop complaining about it. If you want it to be like crysis 1 so much.... go play crysis 1!!

I am going to buy it to support the guys at crytek, I doubt that they could have done that much crap to crysis, some people just like to ***** about everything, such is the way of OCN ("oh no your voltage is too high" mind you it is low enough ) I think that crytek appealed to the masses with this one and not just people with 3K+ systems, i think its great that they made it so that people with older hardware can partake in the fun.

Good graphics are a plus yes, but honestly once the storyline is good i don't mind bad graphics

@Bolded sad but true, I think that underlined statement pretty much summarizes everything

The music in this game is just awesome, I'm really speechless. When I started the game, I was looking at everything and then venturing outside and hearing that music, really changes the atmosphere and actually brings you into the game making you see(or hear) how dire the situation is

I can say everyone has an opinion so just because some people don't like it doesn't mean the game is bad. But I can say I like the game alot the graphics are really good and the game is cool too but I just wish I was able to use quick save since I hate having to go back to the part where I got the last check point if I get killed and almost to where I need to go.
