Sandy Bridge -BSOD - Help Please - Page 2

I see no other option but to do a fresh install. Most of the errors codes are related to the ntfs file system of hdd. Something has either corrupted data on there that is required for nessesary kernal process to run. My suggestion would be to do a fresh install.

Before reformatting and installing Windows again, get your overclock stable then reformat.

Oh, well, you might have missed it, but I removed my OC and put everything back to stock. So I guess a fresh install will be the way to go. Thanks a lot!

Integrand: What test in prime 95 did you previously run?
Can you run prime 95 BLEND?

If you ran small FFT, definitely run blend.
And if you're reinstalling windows, if that doesn't fix the BSOD, then it is probably bad memory. But Prime Blend should BSOD quickly if the RAM is bad.

file system bsod... possible hard drive issue

right click on your drive and select properties, then click the tools tab
error checking -> check now, i'd enable 'automatically fix file system errors'

or you can run system file check from a cmd prompt 'sfc /scannow'

Ok, I'll try checking the HDD first.

If not then I'll try another run at prime95 (I did blend).

Also, what's weird is that the BSOD that happened today, well it was special.

I was playing BF2, and then all the textures disappeared. I quit BF2, then Catalyst Control Center crashed, then all my logitech panels crashed, and then I had a BSOD.

But thanks for the tips!

I'd head back to stock clocks on the GPU and get rid of MSI AB until you figure this out. Can always OC later.

That sounds like something getting corrupted in memory, or a VERY badly misbehaving driver.

Let us know if the problem stops after you install windows clean.

Update:

I did not have to install windows clean.

All I did was uninstall MSI Afterburner as well as AI Suite (ASUS program that came with motherboard, I used it to optimize fans etc...)

I'm assuming it was AI Suite that was going crazy. I haven't had a blue screen in 1 1/2 days now, no matter of what I do.

Thanks for the help again!
