[Solved] Awful Firefox 4 flashing

Thread Starter
Has anybody had problems with Firefox 4 horribly flashing/blinking between normal and totally blacked out, several times a second? It's completely unusable. This is on my Alienware M11X R2 laptop, I assume it might be an NVidia Optimus problem but I've tried forcing it to a specific graphics processor and it has the same problem on both my GeForce GT 335M and the Intel integrated graphics.

It works fine on my work PC. Also, Firefox works in safe mode on my laptop, albeit extremely slow and with all add-ons disabled.

EDIT
For any other Alienware users out there, the problem was because I was using Stardock MyColors and the custom Alienware UI for Windows 7. I switched back to the stock Windows theme/UI and the problem went away.

Nope, no issues, on Win 7 and on my Mac OS X lappy. The lappy's been tested with the 9400m and the 9600m GT (it has both), and the desktop has been tested with... Well, the GTX 460.

The GPU acceleration may be giving you a problem... you can disable it in options
