What kind of 4G speeds do you get by you?

Here in moraga, I only get like 1-2Mbps, which is kinda slow, but still like 3x faster than our 3g.

Small revive but you only get 1-2Mbps with the Tunderbolt through Verizon? or another carrier? My Thunderbolt gets between 20-30Mbps average, almost always in the the mid 20Mbps range.

thunderbolt for now. amazing phone. extremely accurate screen for typing (see below), but only a 1gb processor. oh, and 4glte, 11mbps down in store

Droid 2 - has a full qwerty keyboard, but smaller screen, and only 3g. i got this one in october over the X as i need a full keyboard to type, but after trying the thunderbolt i like touch. Still cant get a feel for the X though.

As for what these phones can do, well, once rooted, really anything you want them to do.

If you're not rooting the device, avoid Motorola. If you are rooting the device, I'd personally still avoid Motorola. Samsung Charge looks promising, expected to come out this upcoming week(hopefully). Thunderbolt is amazing. If you want to be limited, get the iPhone 4. I don't know why someone said the iPhone has more features in this thread, possibly the worst input I've seen on OCN. Don't get me wrong, it's a great product, but the truth is the iOS is more limited than the Android OS. I work in mobile phones, and from experience I can assure you of this. Droid Incredible 2, Thunderbolt, Charge are my top three for Verizon right now. Since the new LG isn't out yet... You cannot go wrong with the three I mentioned. Also, if you think there's a phone coming out in a few months you may want to get, go to Best Buy and get the Buy Back they offer. It'll help you upgrade even if you're not eligible. I suggest rooting the device(or at least learning about it), because it's a new experience. But I would learn everything about it before actually doing it. Also, at Best Buy you have 14 days to try out the phone. So if you don't like it, bring it back within 14 days and get the other phone. Only one exchange. Get Thunderbolt, no like? Exchange it for the other one you're considering. Or whichever way. If you like iOS and it suits you well already, don't switch. Not to sound insulting, but iOS is simpleton proof. If you like it, get the iPhone 4. With that said, best of luck on your decision.
