CCC failing to install

Thread Starter
I re-installed Win 7 64 last night and when I tried to install new ATI drivers 11.2 and 11.1 I keep getting an error that says:

"failed to load detection driver"

Then it closes. Everything seems to be running fine though

I will try 10.2 later tonight. Any ideas though?

I had problem with the new CCC as well. I ran a driver sweeper run and everything went smooth after that. Maybe just with the 4890's?

Tried all that ran driver sweeper after each run and rebooted. Will try 10.2 now.

Update: Same issue. Maybe I should re-do the windows install...

Locate: ATI\\Support\\vista32_win7_dd_ccc_enu\\Bin\\
Click on InstallManagerApp.exe
Select uninstall and follow instructions
Reboot once complete

Once you are back to desktop locate:ATI\\Support\\vista32_win7_dd_ccc_enu\\Conf ig\\
then edit InstallManager.cfg
change: WorkaroundInstall=false to WorkaroundInstall=true
Save changes then restart the install process.

Got it sorted AVAST was blocking the registry updates required and I had the pop ups turned off.

All is good now.
