I see where you're coming from, but there's no need to troll the OP. I agree w/ him to some degree. I saved up $1000 anticipating these cards and I've honestly been pretty disappointed.
I never planned on buying the 6990 as I've had bad experiences with xfire and crap drivers. But I was really holding out for the 590. I was expecting it to be an overclocking monster and instead it barely gets overvolted and dies a horrible death. Completely unacceptable for a top of the line, enthusiast card. I'm holding out a month or two to see if someone will put out a custom 590 with better voltage control/cooling/oc capabilites. Its doubtful in the next two months - but a guy can dream, right?
It's funny you know, last fall I was planning on buying a 590 and crysis 2 in the spring. But instead, crysis 2 ends up w/ no dx11 and plays great on my 5850... The 590 (which I thought I would need for crysis 2) can only tie the 6990 and has little OC headroom...
...in short, March has been a disappointing month.
