The thermal threshold for the GF110 parts is 97 degrees centigrade.

The card will throttle at or slightly above 97 degrees, they will NOT shut down (unless you have seriously unstable overclocks). There is very little damage that can be done to the card even at those temps. Nvidia isn't in the game of allowing their cards to get hot and having to deal with a ton of warranty claims.
As I have previously owned several 470s, I am speaking from experience.

The card do not throttle down until 105, and if they can't get blow 100 in a few seconds, they will stop drawing power, aka, shut down.

Yes, nvidia said they cards max is 97. Still they do reach over that if you really push them.

Im now at 900/1800 @ 1.050mV stable ran OCCT error and without error mode for 15 min both and it doesn't get hotter then 75 degrees @ 75@ fanspeed.

Now im Ocing my memory it's default is 2100, I tested it with OCCT memtest right? so I did 10 passes, and 50 passes (is this enough?) and then OCCT said it had no errors at 2300 mhz. But when I typed 50 passes, it continued only till pass 10 and then it stopped saying test completed without errors.. but shouldn't it go till 50?? what's up here?????

10 passes takes about only 2 minutes. The screenshot of the result says 50 loops 2 minutest.... but at 100 loops it also says 2 minutes... Obviously it just doesn't do more then 10 loops...

How long should I run OCCT memtest? do I also need to run the GPU OCCT error checking in conjunction?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:
After my 6th or 7th loop of "10" loops it gave "256" errors. So i quickly cancelled it, does this mean the card needs more voltage? or won't that matter for memory? or do I just need to decrease memory?

I just ran furmark GPU burnin test @ 1920x1080 windowed, at non- overclocked settings so DEFAULT clocks, and my computer just reboots within 3 seconds!!! I have no problem in crysis and OCCT with overclocked settings but furmark can't handle stock? ***?

I have bad news... after I rebooted my pc I tried to run 3DMARK11 At extreme preset.
It made my pc turn off instantly within seconds. I was using my supposed stable settings I used in OCT, 900 core/1800/ with default memory of 2100 @ 1.050 mv (default was 0.987)

It smelled in my room a bit.. and I waited 15 min or so and then tried turning it on again, but it went on for like 2 seconds before it shut it self down again.. and a bit of smell came again.

R.i.P geforce 570 GTX. Im 100000% cured of overclocking videocards. I will never do so again. It's way too sensetive.
