hi guys i just wanted some advice im buying a new motherboard for my phenom 975 i have the ma770-ud3 atm but i was going to go for the crosshair formula IV am3 board but dont have the extra 20 quid this week so i wanted to know your opinion on this board i was gonna order today can you tell me if it would do the same job or would i be better waitin and gettin the asus one heres the link

You may want to hold out for an AM3+ board.

Edit: I have never used ASRock boards but I have seen and heard mixed reviews about them. I would go with the ASUS if you can cant wait for AM3+

thanks, when is the am3+ boards out and what price range will they start from

TBH I don't know, anyone's guess on how much they will cost. But it will be future proofed for the next gen processors from AMD. It's always worth thinking about if you want to upgrade just your processor in the future.

what about this board it says its am3+ compatible would this be a good board for me?

That is not an AM3+ board. No AM3+ boards have been released yet.

yes this board is am3+ http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...Specifications but i dont know were to buy it in uk its in germany shops and the GA-890FXA-UD5 board says am3+ ready so it must support ma3+

Get the AsRock deluxe4, its better (has a fan on the MOSFET coolers)
