what do you guys think. I was going to get the extreme6 but when i added to my card it was sold out.

I really like the styling of the extreme6 and the price that comes with it.

the fatality board basically looks identical as far as features(except for a few extras).

anyone own this board? is it worth the extra money?

or should i wait for the extreme6 to come back in stock?

RealTek LAN? No thanks.

Looks like Asus made some sort of competitor to their Maximus Extreme 4.

If I was you I would wait for the Extreme6.

Ya because it's cheap.

I actually like the board, I wonder how long the manufacturer warranty is.

This ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional motherboard was my first Sandy Bridge motherboard before I replaced it with Asus Maximus IV Extreme.

The Fatal1ty board is a capable motherboard. I have almost no problems with it during initial set up. The motherboard run flawlessly when I set my RAM settings per memory specs. Doing this on my current motherboard the Asus Maximus IV Extreme would require me to set the Ai Overclock Tuner to X.M.P.

The ASRock motherboard also looks better than Asus motherboard except for that big Fatal1ty Southbridge chipset heatsink which I think is more of a Fatal1ty billboard than a heatsink. The premium gold capacitors are well laid & really looks high end (better even than the Maximus).

The ASRock motherboard even has 16+2 power phases (more than the Asus) though I think like the top Gigabyte motherboard, those many power phases are overkill.

Overall, in terms of features, the Asus Maximus is by far the best. But the Fatal1ty motherboard is a good choice if you decide to buy it.

i just bought the ud4 from newegg. I probably should have waited for the extreme6 to come back in stock, but i got impatient. I like gigabyte though. Though the ud4 is lacking features, gigabyte is known for the quality parts they use.

Be carefull in updating the BIOS for that ASRock though as it only has one. If you mess up with the BIOS update then your motherboard is dead. You'll end up RMAing it as what happened to me. But I must say it was my fault not following instructions on how to update the BIOS of the ASRock motherboard.

For the price, I think you'll better off with the Fatal1ty motherboard. I like Gigabyte motherboards too (I used a Gigabyte motherboard before upgrading to Sandy Bridge).

ASRock (sister company of Asus) in now the 3rd largest motherboard company in the world. Surpassing MSI this year. It's now going into high end motherboard production. It's not an Asus cheap alternative.

That sucks the Extreme6 only has 1 BIOS... Does the Fatality have more than 1 BIOS chip? It doesn't say anything about it in the specs.
