Why am I NOT getting an OC? Asus P8P67 Deluxe

Hey, first time OC'er here.

CPU: i7 2600k
My Asus P8P67 Deluxe came with ver 1401 of UEFI

Everything installed and is running smoothly, I only have OS installed, nothing else

Went into the UEFI and tried the Optimal setting single click, reboot yielded me +100hz, thats it!

Gathered info from thread, video etc, inserted manual setting, CPU voltage went up but still no OC

am i missig something?

I'm figuring even if i didn't get everything set correctly won't i see something of an OC in the UEFI main page?

I also went ahead and flashed the UEFI to 1502, same results

any ideas?

I'm having a similar issue with my Sabertooth P67. The original board I had fired up to 4.8 ghz without any problems. When my replacement board arrived I set up the bios the exact same way and system won't overclock. Tried the auto OC and had the same results as you.

Have you installed the Ai Suite II? I have some suspicions about that...I'm going to uninstall the software and try a Bios OC without the software running to see what happens.

The kicker is this is the second replacement I got from Asus. Still doing the same thing. Can't have 2 bad boards and can't see any reason why chip would have been damaged during change over. I'm determined to figure this out.

it was Stable at 4.9 @ 1.368... but now it is not... and i am trying to find my new OC spot now...

I've tried various OC methods i've come across, even the OC tuner, still no result

haven't installed anything, not even the inf chipset drivers. I just wanted to see a quick OC before installing anything. Though i'm thinking that the ez-setup page doesn't display an OC speed, only in the advance sections for speed display

i wouldn't think so, seeing as its booting and such

Try installing the drivers first then try again see if that helps. also try manually increasing the multiplier.

well i flashed my bios from 1305 to 1502 i downloaded the 1502 bios from asus
Any way when i was on 1305 my o/c was 5ghz now with 1502 there was no way i could get 5ghz stable.
But about 2 hours ago i download the 1502 bios again for this site the asus p67 post
and reflash my bios with it.
now im stable at 5ghz one more time been running prime for over a hour.
so dont use the 1502 bios from asus site i think it buggy.

Well, as it turns out I don't believe i even had problem. I had been looking for the UEFI main ez mode page to display the OC speed next to the base core speed, but it doesn't display/do it that way.

Last night i did install drivers etc.., then i installed the AI Suite, from there i ran the auto tuning, it brought me up to 5.1ghz. I will tweak UEFI later

Just checked the UEFI ez mode page and it doesn't show an OC.
