Just bought an M10....

I'm looking for a sound card. Only used this system for basic gaming <Not FPS, more like Starcraft 2>. Heard good and bad things about a lot of xonar stuff, as well as the titanium series - pros and cons everywhere. I also have a pair of SE530's that i may use with the sound card.

As I said, not looking for the best, just something that would match my shiney new speakers, and hopefully doesn't have a huge price tag

Thanks in advance!

Xonar STX or Titanium HD.

I personally love my HD, it has outstanding positional audio for gaming, and delivers well enough (for my tastes) in the music department. (and it isn't plagued with the driver issues older SB cards that many people complain about)

The STX however is a music lovers...well, lover. (or so I've read having never owned one) I'm sure an STX owner will chime in here.

Anything on the Asus line up is what you're looking for. I don't think you need the ST personally as you won't be using the amp. You should be just fine with a Xonar DX. Can be found for 80 bucks.

No need for the Titanium HD whatsoever if you're not FPSing. It's significantly weaker musically and sound quality wise to the Asus Solution.

How about this one?

Also, i'm overclocking my system. I know PCI-e uses a 4pin connector, whereas PCI is powered by itself. Is the draw not significant? <second time oc'er>
