Damn Upgrading Cycle- Upgrading Video Editing Rig.

So I was really waiting and going to buy a 2600k when they came out. Then I decided to wait and see what bulldozer was going to bring to the table. After really thinking about it, this is just an on going cycle. I wait for the newer stuff, but then that comes and then its like "oh wiat, in so many more months something new is coming out."

Its such a crazy cycle.
So im looking at upgrading my pc. CPU, MOBO, MEM.
I use my pc mainly for video editing and rendering.
With that being said Im curious on your input.

Should I just suck it up and upgrade to 2600k, wait for bulldozer, or go simple and upgrade my current cpu?

Im looking for the move to intel simply due to the rendering power that intel is known for bringing over amd.

Total cost of upgrade I see at around $600.

More cores = Better rendering right?

If so. Why not just get a 1100t and OC it till you are content.

I get ya. Im just curious about rendering on a 2600k compared to a 100t, which in case i think the i7 is still better even with the more cores on the 1100T.

Could anyone chime in on that?
