Help me decide

Thread Starter
Hi all, well this is my 2nd post so it feels strange... LOL

Well, as you can see, i have some old hard for today gaming etc.

The point is that im going to update my system in a few weeks, so i want you guys to help me with some of these components:

Processor: It will be an Amd of course, phenom II, and it will not exceed U$A 130, because here i got 22% of tax rate

Mother: Some Asus am3, ddr3, pcix 2.0 to do OC at a reasonable price like U$A 100.

Memory: Like i sayd, i got a ddr2 so it wont fit at all . reasonable and 4gb

The rest of the components i decided to use the ones i have, so dont worry

Thanx to all anyway!

Hahaha.

Well go for a Phenom II 965 or a 955, for gaming .

Asus motherboard, Crosshair IV, if that is to expensive, a Asus M4A89TD PRO/USB3 would be also a good choice.

Ok the truth is: 955 here is U$A 200 tax include and 965 U$A 240 tax include :S
I think its price is based on 4 cores. maybe a 2 cores phenom will perform a great job too?
like an 555 black edition?

About the mother you say, its too expensive here, about 200. I was thinking on ASUS M4N68T-M LE, its U$A 90 and ive discovered that its ddr2 so may be i can buy 4gb ddr 1066 very cheap. but really i dont know.... and dont know if its good for OC too... :S

For OC it's not the best choice. And that motherboard only supports DDR3 memory, All AM3 sockets only support DDR3. A 2 core phenom is a good processor and can perform a good job, yes .

How does the Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 sounds ? Is great for overclocking !

Look, that's a better motherboard than the Asus M4N68T-M LE.

Yes, the Asus M4A785TD-M EVO is a good motherboard, so with overclocking. Great choice.
