p8p67 pro B Revision

Thread Starter
Well first of all hi to everybody as i am new to the forum.

I am after some help OC'ing i7 2600k on he p8p67 pro b revision.
I have always been pro AMD but after some good advise from a friend i decided to switch to the otherside today and i must say i am very impressed and TBH i dont think i will use amd again.

Right then, im not too clued up on oc'ing on intel's and im in need of some help from you guys who will obviously know lots more than me in this department.

Im wanting to get a stable 4.2-4.4ghz on this atm as im still on stock cooler.
What im not too sure about is the epu and tpu switches, do they have to be on to OC??

If someone could give some detailed advise i would appreciate it very much.
Also if it helps im using 2x2gb of corsair dominators @ 1600mhz 9-9-9-24.
as it stands they are underclocked to 1333mhz

From what I have read, the Auto OC feature will get you an OC of 4.2-4.4 on stock cooling. I am not a pro though, its just my research.

The easiest why i believe will be to run the auto tune from AI Suite. From there you can tweak to your liking and see how the temps look.

I also read on 1 (only found this answered on 1 post) that you don't need to set the TPU or EPU on to OC. I'm running the deluxe and i didn't set the TPU or EPU and AI Suite auto tune OC np. I'll be tweaking it later

Ok, try these setting as a base and work from there.

AI Overclock Tuner: Manual
BLCK Freq: 100.00
Turbo Ratio: Enabled (All Cores)
By All Cores: 45 (yields 4.5g which SB should do easily)
Internal PLL OverVoltage: Disabled
Mem Freq: 1600mhz (insert your memory speed/timings)
EPU Power Saving: Enabled

Below is what I currently have for my 5ghz
Load-Line Calibration: Ultra High
VRM Freq: Manual Set to 350
Phase Control: Extreme
Duty Control: Extreme
CPU Current Capability: 100%
CPU voltage: 1.405v (you should start with 1.35 since your only going 4.5g)
DRAM Voltage: 1.5v
VCCSA Voltage: Auto
VCCIO Voltage: Auto
CPU PLL Voltage: Auto
PCH Voltage: Auto
CPU Spread Spectrum: Disabled
CPU Ratio: Auto
Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor: Enabled
Intel Virtualization: Disabled
Intel SpeedStep: Enabled
Turbo Mode: Enabled
CPU C1E, C3, C6: Enabled

Did you give the AI Auto Tuner a try yet? That alone should have given you roughly 4.5ghz

It’ll help if you post your equipment ie.. CPU Cooler, Memory etc…

Thnks Lorderl, Very helpful!!

Im sitting at 4.5 which is what i wanted on the stock cooler. my 2x2gb dominators are performing extremely well, 1600mhz stock but im running @ 1866 @ 8-8-8-22 I also feel like their is ALOT more head room in the.

God i love the sandybridge
