Basically I am setting up a DAW and I think I've figured out how the whole audio interface/mic/computer will be setup, however, I am stuck on how to set up the speakers.

I am thinking of buying

speakers which I think are a good buy for me. However, I do not know which subwoofer to buy that will produce a good low end. The obvious (not best) choice for me is the which is a bit expensive, but would very easily be setup with the speakers. The looks like an alright fit and it is cheaper but neither seems perfect for me.

My final question that relates to this is whether I should run the speakers from the audio interface output, or out of the headphone jack on my Macbook Pro? Also XLR or TRS? I'm only beginning to understand all of this audio stuff so I may not fully have understood what I'm asking, but any help is appreciated. Thanks.
