All I can say is that if you only pay around $30 like me then it's worth getting a new game. But if you can't get it for around that price then wait till it gets cheaper if you want to play it since I always wait till the price drops around $30 or less before I get any new game. I of cource prefer around $20 since then that's really a good price for any games. I really think that it's a waste of money to pay $50 or more for a game when it's going to be cheaper in a year or two.

While it may not be a snadbox, it surely is NOT a linear shooter. basically this is what they do. the make a map (pretty big) and they put alot of enemies in it and ask you to clear them out. You can do this rambo style or solid snake style. Its all up to you (of course certain scenarios ask you to go full force action, but for the most part you play how you want)

Maps:
Vertical. the first crysis offered huge flat maps, these maps are slightly smaller but there is Alot of verticality in all of them. You will be fighting on roofs and office buildings quite alot but there are more interesting locations i won't spoil.

Graphics
And it looks absolutely AMAZING! all this talk about hurp derp Dx9, you know what, You won't even notice it the game is just stellar. The best looking game i've ever played. the lighting and the shear amount of stuff happening in every scene (buildings falling, tons of MPC's firing their weapons, helicopters in the air and the Ceph ships. there is just way more stuff going on in this game. I won't lie, the textures did take a backseat, but unless your looking at newspapers and leaves in the game (why would you do that when you have blood thirsty aliens on your A$$) you won't notice/care because while they are not excellent they are far from Bad.

i have yet to play the multiplayer, The single player has taken up most of my day today and i'm still not finished lol (could have beat homefront twice in the time its taken me soo far)

Do i recommend it? Hell yeah! don't let the people brainwash you into thinking this game looks bad, because they clearly have not played it.

I want to add to this

THE MUSIC! is AMAZING, Hans Zimmer did an awesome job! The music gets you submerged in the story line...man oh man

Servers are still loopy. But once you get in to a server that works, its all good. I find Assault kind of interesting.

Haha Thanks. I enjoy the game overall. I got alloyed with SLI problems *cough* nvidia *cough*. The game gets insane when you start fighting the Ceph.

This a game not a benchmark. Crytek delivered a playable, and enjoyable game this time.

This 100%. Game is awesome, only complaint is no quick save so if you die before getting to a checkpoint, you'll have to replay, but, its a minor thing IMO. You don't need DX11 to enjoy a game, Crysis 2 using DX9 looks better than the majority of titles including DX11 ones
