If you want to make a temporary future-proof investment for the next year or so, I'd say go with two 6950's in crossfire. The bang for the buck quality is worth the money and with a good overclock, can perform as well as a 6970 in cf. But it honestly depends, 5870 trifire would be a respectable setup, but the 5xxx series went by pretty fast. Your setup is still good, there is no reason to jump the gun now.. we have no clue what could come in the future. I'd say wait till August, but if you're that urgent, go for the 6950's

BTW do you have to 2gb or 1gb model?

1 gig model. i just recently ran a heaven benchmark with everything maxed, scored an 828. lots of real mild stutter when the fps dropped below 25-30. running this benchmark made me either expect or want more. imagine that lol. i might look in the direction of the 6xxx series seeing how well they are performing in their price range
