So these are the results of 3DMark06 @ my other computer... 5643 maybe it's because of the cpu it's lower I don't know. Anyway if you look you can see that the SM 2.0 score is about 450 points higher on this pc... Also 3Dmark doesn't freeze at the orbs/wisps test on this pc!!!!

I was also thinking maybe 3Dmark doesn't run well with windows 7 because it disables aero and desktop stuff and start. The two pc's have the same drivers. Though this one uses windows 7 32 bit, and the first one (with the i72600k, gtx 570) has 64 bit windows 7.

Going to memtest the other pc now and 3Dmark again in other PCI slot, Ill post back.

I tested memtest one pass, and it completed without errors.

Though something caught my eye:

IMC: i72600k @ 3.4 Ghz (eventhough it's at 4700 mhz but it also displays in windows wrong, so I guess it's not an issue I think) BLCK 72 Mhz

Settings RAM 557 Mhz DDR3-1154 cas 9-9-9-27 / Dual Channel

Slot 0 4096 MB PC3-10600
Slot 1 4096 MB PC3-10600

Though bios displays ram @ DDR3-1600 and is set to that mode, window AIDA 64 also displays it @ DDR3-1600 and the benchmarks of AIDA64 also seem to be on that level.

Also BLCK is 100 in bios and in memtest it seems to be 72??? hmm

CPU-Z rates bus speed at 99.8 mhz and AIDA64 says real clock and effective clock 100 mhz.

OK I tested 3Dmark again in the same PCI Slot and now test 2 freezes longer for 35 seconds and then continues, the deep freeze test also froze for like 15 seconds. Also during the 35 seconds freeze I noticed harddisk activity as my LED on the front of my pc began to light up intensily, though hardly at all any other tests, more like not at all. I have no background applications...

And I got a WAY lower 3Dmark score 4283 SM2.0 1356 HDR/SM 3.0 1642 CPU 9022.

I tested on PCI express slot 4 Like you suggested. And I get 500-1000 more 3Dmarks!!! What does this mean? Is the PCI SLOT 2 really damaged?

EDIT:

I just replaced the graphics card Once again to PCI express slot 2. And each time u switch PCI-Expres slot it seems u need to uninstall and reinstall nvidia drivers. So I did. And it seems that the problem is gone now even in this slot...!!! What the hell? It was a driver Issue?

But I don't understand, I cleaned with driversweeper in safe mode yesterday and then rebooted to install the very same drivers.. which seem to cause the problems (though I deleted them then and redownloaded them now.)

What to make of this????

maybe the pci express wasn't 100% in the slot? though if I remember correct it was in my opinion..

EDIT2:
I just ran 2 hours Prime95 64 bit 2:10 hours lend, no errors, temps fine as usual.

Seems like you're okay. Don't overclock the GTX 570 next time.

I hope so! And oh I won't! I will never overclock graphics cards anymore, my ati radeon 9600 pro died in the past and my old geforce 7900 GTO aswell. And yes I did it sensebly. With Processor's I overclocked AMD duron 850 to 1000 mhz and E6400 from 2.13 to 2.6 Ghz and never had problems.

I think it's just too sensetive.

Anyway no explanation to the freezes/fps drops in 3Dmark? Was it driver re-install or the card not fully inserted to the slot or what else could it be?

You sure that PSU supplies enough power to support an overclocked GTX 570?

Also don't listen to all these idiots telling you to never overclock a GTX 570 and that they're bad overclockers.

There's a thread on here where people post what specs they had their 570s running to and of the 12 people 7 of them were either using 1.2V or disabled the Over Current Protection. Both of which are out of Nvidia spec, so it's not their fault.

The other 5 may have just gotten bad cards. But out of the thousands of GTX 570s that have been sold in the last 4 months there are only 12 reports of failures on here? Sounds like normal failure rates for video cards anyway and that's why there are warranties. There will always be a few bad eggs in the batch but when you start throwing 1.2v at a GPU expect something to protest.

Oh yeah im sure my 750 Watt GX Coolermaster might even be able to run it in sli or at least so im told by the technical department of where I bought it, they said it's doubtable it could run gtx 570 in SLI, so one 570 GTX is no problem at all.

And the Geforce 7900 GTO consumes way less, so that shouldn't be the cause of fps drop either, it runs fine at my 450 Watt computer.

I was running 1.050mV which was an increase of 0.083mV and I didn't touch that protection at all. So it seems it was just a bad card I guess? Anyway my pc even rebooted at stock settings when I tested furmark gpu burn in test... Also when I clocked my old 7900 GTO (not this one) it went broke after I overclocked it only like 30-40 mhz. So yeah im done with that lol.

But the 3Dmark thing still bugs me, I'd like to know how or why this could happen, but so far no one seems to know??

pop the vga into the first pci x 2.0 x 16 and the x fi soundcard into the second pci x 1.
reinstall the os + drivers and check again.

My Vga was already in the first PCI X 2.0... when the problem occured. I only have one PCI x 1. And I did reinstall drivers and card which made the problem go away though im not sure if it was the re-install of the drivers or the card into the slot that did the trick..

And Re-install OS, lol it's just been installed, and that's a very basic non direct way of answering...
