Need help figuring out my GTX 570 problem

Thread Starter
So, I'll get right into it. I had my EVGA gtx 570 sc for about a month then decided to add Arctic Cooling Xtreme plus on it.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16835186043

Everthing is smooth and fine, then I get into problem. When I watch movies,

browse, play very 3d light game wc3, I have 0 problem. Everything is

wonderful. However, when I play Bulletstorm, Dragon Age 2, and Homefront,

(which utilizes DX11) I get artifacts all over the place. But here is the

kicker... When I play crysis 2, EVERYTHING IS FINE.... How can this make

sense? Dosent crysis 2 use DX11? I set everything to max setting on all

games. At first I thought I made mistake when installing the cooler on my

VGA, so I unscrewed it, and put everthing back together just like the manual

says, and still same results. However, my hunch tells me it might be the small

heatsinks that I have to glue on the memory and voltage regulators (?) that

is the culprit. Do you guys know exactly which part of the graphics card is

responsible for DX11? I mean, this has to be the case (but crysis 2 gives me

huge doubt)... What do you guys think? Please give me any input.

Foot Notes:

1. Installed Arctic cooling xtreme plus on GTX 570

2. Playing warcraft 3, browsing web, watching movies all fine.

3. Playing DX11 games gives me artifacts all over the place.
(Dragon age 2, bulletstorm, homefront)

4. I think this has to do something with part of GTX 570 that controls DX11 texture not being cooled enough.

P.S : I dont know where my original cooler went... Cant test it with original cooler...

Crysis 2 does not use DX11. Just to confirm that.

Also, with regards to DX11, Dragon Age 2 has known issues, Homefront has known issues and so does Bulletstorm.

I'd suggest trying a DX11 benchmark, see if you get artefacts then.

PS: Sorry for the double post, I thought I pressed edit lol!

Found this for Dragon Age 2: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/to...ndex/6420212/3

Edit: Can you also post temperatures please?

I don't know if this will help but try to reinstall dx & no, crysis 2 doesn't use dx11 at the moment, although crytek did announce they will be adding dx11 support through a patch update soon
