[AMD] The World's Fastest Graphics Card...Done Right - Page 11

it's tragic that despite have the more powerful processor nvidia cannot make a graphics card that is more powerful than the 6990.

90% of AMD owners(They know nothing about building computers or von-mod or anything like that. Never asked me though. Sad.) among my friends are still on CD drivers. Then upgraded, cant play their old games. LOL!

Also.

My old 5850's in crossfire were scaling amazing in Crysis 2 BETA with the 11.2's.

I also got nearly a constant 100fps on BF:BC 2 with the 11.2's as well maxed out with 8xAA.

AMD drivers are fine, People are just FAIL at installing them.

Yes the Crysis 2 beta did scale well in CFX, with no flashing
But in the retail release, scaling is not there, flashing is bad.
Of course it's easily remedied by forcing a different CFX profile.

That problem comes from the fact that all 3d applications use GPUs differently. Different graphics cards are better for some things and not for others. That's not just true for benchmarks, it's true for real world applications as well.

While they are pretty similar in terms of performance Nvidia really has no standing to say their card is faster or the fastest. Not at all. But in my opinion they have never really cared about accuracy when it comes to PR.

I was partial to the 6990 but more I look into it, the more I cannot tell which one is better overall.
