BUT.. does it work online too?

I can't stand the cockpit view that turns your head into the turns. While the view is turned, I can never tell the orientation of the front of my car and end up oversteering nearly every turn. I prefer the Cockpit view option right before it, where it's just a straight-ahead view like every other game, then I look into the Apex of the turn on my own.

I know, right? It's so confusing when you're approaching a turn, and suddenly your view starts drifting to the side, and you think 'Oh crap, am I driving off the track?'

That too! I end up looking like a moron who has never been in a car before haha! The view turns to the right, and my initial reaction, being that I didn't turn the car to the right, is to turn left, and that sends me into either a parallel car or the wall. On the chance that I don't hit anything before I enter the turn, I over-correct and then run into the grass after exiting the turn

I hated the view initially, but I kept trying and now I'm used to it, and it's pretty amazing actually

I just don't like the deadzones I guess, and so that negatively compounds onto that view.

Is there a way to modify the sensitivity and dead zones of steering while using a controller? Right now it seems I have two turning distances: "\\" or "__"

The cockpit view doesn't bother me at all. Just like real driving. The real trick is not to let it bother you, If he turns his head then you know you have to turn the car easily. Just don't go out of track. I can drive friggin fast with the cockpit racing helmet view. Fun BUT yes the regular view is better too. I just like the helmet. So much realism and yes it's annoying.

Has anyone figured how to change the fov in the regular view? I wanna see more of my interior of the car. I notice we can see more in Shift 1 but Shift 1 is just a arcade. I'm just trying to figure how to get it seen more instead of moving around and looking.

I'm still using a edited config. All graphic levels is 5 Not default. Thanks to the dude who posted in a previous thread long time ago. I did it to Shift 1 also and wow the game look sharper now.

Be nice if Shift 2 had dx11

Just found this sale on the EA store. Good till May 8th.

18 bone for a few-weeks old release is pretty sweet.
