How is the online play compared to the original is it more popular?

I just bought it and I would recommend it. Fun, but there is a learning curve ( weapons, maps) To me it would be nice to have some change from the same old same old from the original game.

This is something to consider. All of my friends and clanmates have Vietnam. But no one plays it.

Me and a friend bought it played for about 3-4 days and stopped and went back to vanilla. Too many chokepoints and 1 hit sniping makes most game we played either sniping fest or nadespam fest...

This is a couple reasons why the game can be annoying but it is fun overall.

Yes it's worth every penny, it's not an ordinary DLC it feels like a whole new game.

I paid £9.99 for it and it's pretty decent. £9.99 is not proportional to what you get though, as BFBC2 is currently around £12 at Play.com and obviously has tons more content than the Vietnam DLC. However, the Vietnam DLC is a pretty fun addition.

I wouldn't say Vietnam is more popular than regular BFBC2. When I search for Rush servers in Europe that aren't full or empty, I tend to get about ten with Vietnam but hundreds with regular BFBC2. Of course, that might mean that there are loads more Vietnam servers than regular BFBC2 servers, just all of them full and not showing up on my list!
