OC'ing an Athlon x3 335 a little bit

Thread Starter
Just built my folks their new web browsing rig.
I'm tying to OC the CPU just a little, but, I'm using a cheap Biostar board, with 4+1, so i'm not even gonna mess with touching the voltages.

The bios is nothing like my Gigabyte bios, some stuff I don't quite understand.

The multiplier is locked at 14.5, so I'm just raising the Bus speed up a little bit and running prime. I'm sitting around 43c after about 20 minutes so far. Voltages are 1.32. The speed is at.....3.4ghz. If it doesn't BSOD, I'll be plenty happy to leave it there.

This look safe?
OH, and I'm using the stock cooler that came with my 965 BE, which is a little heftier than the stock for this fellow.

Stock cooler blowing down on VRMs should be fine..... at least it's a proper 4+1 and not a 3+1. Biostar 4+1 can actually be fairly decent.

Hi

I have a x3 435 2.9 GHz and i just want to make it 3.0 Ghz.That much overclock should be safe i presume.Just need that psychological round figure.Increasing bus speed is enough like this OP has done?

Set bus at 207.
You will likely be able to get away with not having to change anything else.
