It's automatic tap to the second gpu on the one pcb. You are using your full potential, only where crossfire games are enabled. It's crossfire, just no need to tell your software since it's only reading one PCIe slot with a card.

Run a game benchmarks and check your FPS, then compare it to a single AMD 6970 (from online stats of a review) and see the difference if you'd like verification.

cuz i am suffering the lower perofrmance on hd6990 , i just wonder if i can disable the crossfire option but in ccc i cant even find where is crossfire option at? and by the way i already been post thread about my hd6990 gaves me awful performance and this is my first time switch from nvidia to ati , i used to own gtx580 and gaves me 0 problem

If it doesn't, then it is definetly a driver issue.

Also, make sure that your card is comming out of 2D clocks. In some games, my 6870 will remain at idle clock (300MHz), and cause a lot of lag.

like this guy said , when i install hd6990 i cant find crossfire option ? maybe disable can improve game performance??

Do you have AMD Catalyst 11.4 Early Preview running? This is the latest driver for AMD 6990 Window 7 64bit driver.

i did install 11.4 and yes i am running windows 7 64bit but where is crossfire option for single hd6990??? and i also install 11.2 cap4 still cant find crossfire mode

Did you completely uninstall your Nvidia drivers when you switched over? You could have some things left over that could be causing a conflict or something..

yes i already check lot of times and i even ran driver sweeper in safe mode make sure everything reomved , i unistall driver around 4 times back and forth i even use 11.2 and 11.4
