so im deciding between the ocz vertex 2 60gb sata 3.0gb/s SSD and the crucial realssd c300 64gb 6.0 gb/s, i dont know which one to choose!!! helpppp ><

I just installed my 60gb Vertex 2 tonight, I'm loving it. Insanely fast.

Do you have a SATA 6 Gbps interface?

IIRC at those capacities I'd probably get the vertex (285/275 vs 265/70 for sequential R/W on SATA 3 Gbps), however the C300 has a conservatively rated 72 TB write life span. At capacities of 128g and above a C300 would likely be a better choice. Not sure if the C400 rating is equivalent for the lower capacity of 64g, which would end up with a 36 TB write life span.

In all honesty, though, you will not notice a difference in daily use between either drive.

yea im getting a p67 board does the 200mb/s faster wrote speed matter that much?? what is write anyway?

I have a vertex 2 and its a great ssd. nice and fast with windows. The only I can say I wish I would have gotten a bigger drive. But you'll still love it.

i have 3 x c300 256gb drive, it's just as good as any other SSD.
