[CNet] Benchmark battle: Latest Chrome vs. IE vs. Firefox - Page 2

With latest Chrome 11 Beta and Firefox 4.0, I can't tell a difference in speed. Firefox actually may be a millisecond faster

Yeah. I use FireFox as main but Chrome is my backup. Sometimes, it takes longer than chrome to run Javascript applications. FF Beta vs GC Beta. Google Chrome wins.

I can never tell a difference in speed myself. Features and security are most important to me. I tried Chrome for awhile, but hated the fact that it didn't have a built in option to never remember history like Firefox does. I hate browsers remembering history, or any application remembering any kind of history for that matter. Anything I use frequently is in my bookmarks already and everything else is no one's business.

I personally cannot tell the difference in speed when visiting any of the sites I normally visit between Chrome, Safari and Firefox on my Macs. The all have adblock, they're all plenty fast, they're all fine.

Quite right. All browsers should be able to handle the basics of the internet quickly. The differentiation between these products is functionality, particularly addons, extensions, or whatever you want to call them.

Personally I don't dig the FF4 interface. To each their own though

Has the chrome 12 dev been released yet? I can't seem to find it.

Something's fishy if Chrome takes 26 seconds to load. All those boot times look pretty slow.
