You said 62C, but in Core or Proc?

Sorry, I meant 4GHz stable. You would really have to run prime95 for 8+ hours minimum without crashing for it to be reasonably stable. Some people recommend 24hours.

AMD never really specified exactly what temp can't go over 62C. Here is a thread that discusses it:
http://forums.anandtech.com/archive/index.php/t-2123905.html

To be safe I would make sure your BIOS reading matches software readings at idle. Some people say they tend to report 10C less than the actual temp, while others say it is 10C more. As long as you don't let the core readings go above ~55-58C you should be good.

now i have this settings:

Ref Clock: 200
CPU: x20 = 4000
HT link: x10 = 2000
CPU/NB: x13 = 2600
DDR clock: 800 = 1600
CPU: 1.45V
CPU/NB: 1.45V

I didn change timing on DDR. will need help with it.
Started test with Prime95.

Next steps?

I tried these settings on my 955BE but with prime95 I got cores "stopped working". I actually havent set my cpu/nb past 1.200v because my NB runs at 59c full load already, oi vey. Not to highjack this thread with a random question, but will ram timings cause NB temps to rise?

I dont think ram timings has anything to do with NB even though they are connected. Tighter ram timings would raise the ram temp however.

Changing timings/frequency/multipliers will only affect stability. More voltage is what raises your temps. Unfortunately you usually need more volts to get stability at higher frequencies.

I have a 955BE C3 - The rest is in my system signature.

At the moment I am at 3.8Mhz CPU @1.400v, 2600Mhz NB @stock voltage, my ram is at 1600 9-9-9-24-2t. At max load 54c CPU and 57c NB.

I ran prime95 for and after 1 hour and 17 minutes 1 core stopped working, so I just turned the CPU voltage up to 1.425v.

I've given up on 4.0Ghz with a 2600Mhz NB, temp on the NB gets way to high for my comfort (60-62c)

Stock @1.500v I believe. Ram is something I am not 100% knowledgeable on.

You can try 1.65v i know that sounds high but that is a pretty safe voltage for good ram like what you have, the actual voltage is higher but i never saw people using more.
