What are you guys using for voltage monitoring/unlocking?

I am using Afterburner 2.2.0 Beta 3, with Voltage Monitoring, and Unlocked voltage.

Try these. If they don't work, you are going to have to give me a different BIOS to work with so a stock EVGA bios.

Thanks for your help. This bios gave the same result 0.963 volts with same Afterburner as you. I do like the way your custom bios makes both gpu's the same voltage. I overclock to 690 1380 1800. 700 gave black screens Heaven Benchmark.

If someone has stock 90/91 EVGA Bios's and share them, I will try editing them. Perhaps something special was done to the EVGA's Bios 92/93 to limit the voltage. Not sure why mine was showing 0.975, but I rebooted today and now my max is 963mV.

Awsome thanks for that!

Ill let you know how it goes, but tbh its the first time ive ever flash a card let alone a dual one! Im reading up on how to do it as we speak, but if you or anyone could give me any pointers that would be great! smile.gif

Check this out for basic tips, but you will need to learn to make a bootable usb drive, and use the nvflash program.

Let me know if yours is unlocked all the way to 1.05v.

Flash successful, but mine is also locked at 963mv but as im not watercooled this isnt a big deal.

Thanks again for your help.

Anyone with a 590 running on the latest drivers care to defend this review?

Does not seem to reliable. Shows almost 30-50% increase in fps for some titles.

Why, are you planning on buying a 590?

or

I just want to shed some light on the reviews.

Why, are you planning on buying a 590? Was what I meant.

I personally can't understand how the 590 (two down clocked 580's) beat the 580's in SLI? Something is a miss but I might be wrong.

I also thought the 6990 was slightly better than the 590 but I'm sure the review was done at stock clocks for both. I know over clocked the 6990 would surpass the 590 as it currently stands. I'm also optimistic that drivers will improve and allow better over clocks as Ragincain has proven with his modded BIOS. I've seen other reviews two months back that shown a pretty tight race as well. But when I posted the results we got flamed and those posts along with the culprit who came over to flame the thread got deleted.

Yes, I am actually planning on a 590, but also considering a 580 3gb.

I'll be upgrading from a 5870, and based on plenty of reviews, I would basically have a 100% increase in average FPS if I went the 590 route. However, I would only have a 50-60% increase with the 580.

I was amazed by the tests in the link I posted, but I just can't believe them until someone can really prove those numbers.

So far I am pleased going from a HD5970 to a GTX-590 not a OMG difference but nice speed boost. The 275.33 drivers seem very stable and I like them better than latest ATI drivers. I am water cooled with a XSPC Razor water block and temps never go over 45C no mater what I throw at it.I don't have a huge over clock 690 1380 1800 at .963 volts. I do use surround mode. I have 3, 1920x1200 monitors, different brands. For some reason I can't go over 5760x1080 resolution. Setting custom resolution to 5760x1200 fails. That wasn't a problem for the HD5970 it would run at full 5760x1200 with no tweaks. Two of the monitors do show as generic PNP in device manager. Is this normal or is there a work around for this? 5760x1080 looks good but not native to my monitors.
