NVIDIA GTX 590 Owners Club - Page 198

So I did some benchmarks with RagingCain's help (total bench noob) and here are the results:

3DMark Stock 630/1728 @ 3.4Ghz: P9458 Gfx 9951
Here.

3DMark Stock 630/1728 @ 4ghz: P9671 Gfx 9990
Here.

3DMark Overclocked 670/1758 @ 3.4Ghz: P9887 Gfx 10525
Here.

3DMark Overclocked 670/1758 @ 4Ghz: P10096 Gfx 10514
Here.

Oh man benchmarking can be fun. Now I really can't wait for water. Raging Cain you can bet I'll throw my 590 in your benching thread once it's under water!

I am sorry it didn't work

I am not a huge fan of using nVidia Inspector (most of the time it doesn't work whatever I am doing) but I like having it to experiment with.

Would be awesome! Benching is totally addictive, but I have to remember to actually play my games once in a while or I burn out.

Does anyone else has this problem: fan randomly spins up (to 95%) on GTX 590.. It happens during desktop use or in game, it happened twice today.. I've had this card since April and it never happened before. I'm currently using 280.26 drivers.

The new 280.26 drivers are very buggy - on the GeForce forums there are a lot of unhappy people (one in particular I remember mentioning a similar problem). I would suggest reverting to 280.19 beta for a short while just to see if it happens again.

That said, are you using custom fan profiles in a program such as Afterburner or Precision?

GPU temps were fine on my card too. I've checked it in afterburner.. it was just a spin up of fan to 95% and then it slowly went back to 40%. Now I'm back on 275.33 and so far i didn't have this issue.

Yeah same issue, it's bloody loud when it happens. I ripped the side of my pc off to so i could tell which fan was making the noise.
