As you can see I've had it unlocked. But it still doesn't let me move it. As you can see it's just empty and doesn't let me move it.

It could be hit or miss, people often sell them before unlocking their potential, so you find a deal for 500$ used, other people don't want the headache any more.

If you are unsure when checking out, you will NOT get one, but there are plenty of good alternatives such as 2x 570s or 2x6970s.
Hey Bud! You're the reason I came here and joined! I saw your cards on ebay but I was looking for only one. And fortunatly I got lucky.

And you're right .... About three weeks ago NewEgg had the EVGA GTX 590 Hydro in stock! -----> for about 6 hours! I hesitated and lost that opportunity.

I don't have 'unlock voltage monitoring' checked. Uncheck that.

No other program is running or ever been installed like EVGA E-leet?

Do you click on 'apply' once your done?

Also do not run the beta version.....only the last up to date final release.

I'm just going through the easy check list first.

Use AfterBurner 2.2.0 Beta 7. 2.1.0 locks voltage for nVIDIA cards no matter what. My friend's GTX 260 core 216's are voltage locked as well with 2.1.0

ETA: I can adjust voltage with 280.26 drivers as long as I use 2.2.0 Beta. Can't go higher than .913, but adjustment is possible. 280.19 should let you really get up there.

You can create a new point by clicking left mouse click and you can delete a graph point by selecting it and hit 'Del' on your keyboard. I use the curve graph over the step up graph. You can switch from 'curve' to 'step up' by double clicking anywhere on the graph.........

.........Good luck and let me know if this was your problem. Welcome to OCN
My current rig is in my sig. Yep I got a custom graph set... but regardless if any of the monitoring UIs (precision or afterburner) are turned on or not it still does its little revving. Its got to be the driver as was mentioned. Isn't hurting anything at all just was curious as any of us harware guys would if we hear some fans acting on their own accord like that.

I've had the 590 for awhile now and am pretty familiar with it. Thanks a lot to this thread when I fist got it as having threads like this are HUGE for when you get high end new hardware like this. I unlocked the fan with that firmware upgrade and all that when I got it via EVGA. I posted in this thread WAAY back about the firmware being different on each GPU when I first upgraded the firmware/fan unlocker. I used to have a GTX 290 and it wasn't the same deal with that so I wasn't sure. Anyways I just was scanning before I was going to post about the "Rev" issue and I saw your post about you using Afterburner only when you overclock and I was wondering if maybe you knew something I didn't about the MSI app causing issues to stock clocks/voltages. Personal preference is a perfect answer for me!

I've been using Afterburner since I had three GTX 275s before I got the 590 and its always been a great app and i've used the same rather aggressive fan graph myself, i have it hitting 100% much earlier but to each his own. My 590s never go over 59 degrees even after playing a game like Shogun 2 maxed out for several hours or Crysis 2 with all its new DX11 stuff it never goes over 62-63 with the custom graph I have set and the amount of cooling my case has since I installed custom fans instead of the Coolermaster stock ones. Two GTX 275s I used to get to 80 easily with the same graph. And the GTX 290 about the same.

The forum on guru3d is great as you can get any help you need from the MSI Afterburner API guys. They are all of course based on the same engine as you know. But Afterburner uses much more feature rich coding. Again as you already posted.

I appreciate you replying. Just wanted to make sure that Afterburner wasn't causing an issue. I used to overclock the 590 but as I said with stock clocks/voltages it runs everything perfectly absolutely perfect. Have Space Marine running on two monitors and it doesn't drop below 50 fps at 1050. So i'm a happy camper.

Thanks again.

Sorry to interrupt your troubleshooting guys.

You're not alone there dude - since I upgraded the 280.26 set my card has revved up a few times. Not really a problem, but a slight annoyance nonetheless!

Glad you're enjoying your 590 though

I don't know if I should really post it here in the 590 owners club thread, but the MARS II is available on newegg as well as excaliberpc:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121470

http://www.excaliberpc.com/609248/as...80x2-mars.html

if I wasn't using the FT03 Fortress case from Silverstone I would probably have jumped on one of these

Card isnt worth the money at all. Even if the 22% performance increase was true, which it isnt, how does that justify a 100% price increase?

Maybe it provides even more headroom for OC since it has a better power management? But I bought that card I wouldn't dare OC it
