See that's what i was wondering about too mate.
I didn't alter the fans in any way so the front fan is acting as an intake and taking GTX590's construction and the fact that it exhausts hot air on the end it might be not a good idea.
And my temps are not so great to be honest , i see 86/85 in BFBC2 and 91/93 in The Witcher 2 or Heaven 2.5.
I expected a bit better in example my friend with his GTX590 is maxing out t 85C after couple of loops on Heaven 2.5 , granted he has a HAF -X case but still i expected a bit better.

EDIT:
So i did the ol switcheroo and it did improve the temps a little , now after 3/4 loops of Heaven max was 89 though it was 88 most of the time when it stabilized so i think it was worth it.
My concern now is the HDD rack and how this will affect temps of HDD's , i was thinking about turning around the top fan but that would probably just dump all the heat from my Noctua on the 590 so i passed.
Any input on how to improve the temps a little without getting rid of the side window (and swapping it on the mesh + fan) or turning my PC into a leaf blower would be greatly welcome.

My 590 was dumping less than one inch from my HDD and it was getting pulled across and out. Using HDTune I only saw a 1C increase. I wouldn't really worry about it that much.

The results i got before were wrong.
After testing both ways to mount the fan i got this results:

Front fan as intake:
GPU
Heaven 2.5 3/4 runs 89/89
BCBC2 86/86 Max AVG 85
CPU
BFBC2 83/81/81/79 MAX

Front fan as exhaust:
GPU
Heaven 2.5 3/4 runs 88/88
BCBF2 85/86 MAX AVG 83
CPU
BFBC2 76/75/73/73 MAX

So you can see that with fan as an intake my GPU temps are marginally better 1/2C but the CPU temps are much better than with front fan as an exhaust.
So it turns out even if counter intuitive front fan is better as an intake than exhaust.

Metro2033 is one example. Witcher 2 with all its eyecandy, AA, and Ubersampling, is another one that can kill framerates. This is all at 1920x1080. I can't imagine our cards running these same titles with max settings at 2560x1600 very well. F1 2010 is another such title, that benefits greatly 4x580s. Something 2x590s don't match up to unfortunately.

Of course that is if you need more 60 fps, like I do.
We should seriously piss off on these devs. They're HORRIBLE.
Look at it, our card completely DESTROYS consoles, but look how well devs make games work on them? Our cards have SOOOO much more possibilities, seriously. We should have the 590 running BF3/ Crysis 2 completely maxed out running at 240fps. Devs are just ******* horrible at working toward the PC because the sales are not there.

Absolutely right - the money is in Consoles and that's why developers skimp on optimisation for the PC. It's not necessarily their fault - they do what they're told to do. 90% of consumers would NEVER consider spending ~£700/$1000 on just a graphics card, when that could buy them the lastest console and ~30 games. On top of that you have to consider the massive amount of money it costs to support a GPU of that calibre, in terms of CPU, cooling, RAM, Motherboard etc. Realistically, gaming PCs (at least the high end) are massive amounts of money for better graphics (which the majority of the population either wouldn't notice, or don't particularly care about).

There's no use slamming consoles though - they are absolutely fantastic. I totally love jumping on Xbox live with my mates and playing COD or GOW3 for hours. Totally love it. A slight graphics hit doesn't bother me in the slightest in that respect.

That said though - I'm crying out for the next boundary pusher for the PC. I can't wait for it! After all, I didn't spunk a load of money on my PC for nothing
