Wouldn't worry about it at all, tbh...
I noticed this too for my 5970 back in the day. I dont understand why it cant simply downclock the GPU it's hooked up to. Not running a single application in the background at all. Just find it interesting as one core is 40C and the other is 60C because of this. Unplugging the second monitor makes the core idles back down to normal.

Yeah...It's a driver issue in my experience.

I see it a lot...Especially on the inactive screens and I've never been able to figure out why.

I think the draw on most 2 core cards comes through the 2nd core so it's always higher usage but, don't quote me.

I'm adding my 580 in a couple days and I'll let you know if I see a difference but, I've always seen that scenario so, to me, it's fairly normal.

Hmm no worries bro. I'll give the other DVI port a whirl tomorrow, see if that changes which core is being loaded and post back.

It will do mate - I have the same issue. One of my cores never idles with two screens connected. Which GPU depends on which DVI ports I'm using.

Any 590s running the BF3 beta? Settings? Fps? The graphics are definitely dumbed-down from release which makes me concerned about the engine efficiency. It seems fairly mediocre to poor for the quality shown.

I'm not really allowed to give specifics but, I've been gaming on 1 screen w/1 590 and I've had a great amount of success.

Im running a 590 at 5760x1080 and i think its quite good. Running 50-60 ish fps but need to fiddle more. On high settings. I am sure with some patches and drivers for another few FPS it will be fine.

I think its a good looking game.
