My friends I need your help. I have all my parts back from RMA for my sig rig. I have had them for two days. It's still in pieces. What will motivate me to reassemble it?

Can you?

The Koolance block was so full of grease from the factory that I need to reclean everything in my WC loop... even the tubes.

But if I don't put grease do the chances of a leak go up?

If my parts sit disassembled then there's never a freak chance frying my stuff again.

Also, I only have thepink Koolance block pads left. Can I use those? Do I need to order and cut more grey pads?

You better get on it! Expensive parts sitting around don't do you any good. Tell you what, send it all to me and I'll, uh, take care of it for you

hey guys,

i have a quick question for any gtx 590 owners with an XSPC waterblock.

Okay, so I recently bought a second gtx 590 with a second XSPC block for quad sli...but unfortunately for some odd reason the GPU closest to the display port temp is always much higher (60-70 C versus 40 C). I have tried RMAing the waterblock...same issue...Ive tried RMAing the GTX 590...same issue....I am at a loss. There must be something stupid I am doing here....but I cannot figure out what!

Thanks in advance...and I am getting so confused.

just to give u some more info...the blocks are run in parallel with koolance VID connectors between the two.

For some odd reason its just this one GPU....hopefully someone can offer some insight cause I think I am going crazy :S

inproper mounting, i.e. air pockets between GPU and waterblock
or not enough pressure/flow from pump

If you've RMA'd the hardware and the same issue persists, it's you boyo.

I'd guestimate that your flow can't push the bubble through the block and you have an open res so there's no constant pressure so, basically, TLDR, shake the living crap out of your tower...It'll knock the bubble out.

Also realize that you've already gone through 3 cores of constant heat by the time it hits the 4th core so, your 3rd core may indeed be running significantly hotter than the others...

thanks guys, i wish it was that simple. Ive remounted I dont even know how many times...at least more then 10. Changed it from parallel to serial, changed positions so the hot gpu wil be second on the flow through the gpus...but still smae core has high temps. I noted that the choke coils were different from the first GTX 590 I got, and that the xspc block is in general sitting higher than the other gtx 590 (once again...I have two gtx 590 both with xspc blocks). Thus, I wonder if other recent xspc owners, such as scorpion....has had any of my issues.

Could it be that gpuz is picking up one of the temps of my vrm or something mistaking it for my gpu core?

also, masked, everytime i change up the gpus...i have to drain my loop, so I dont think its a bubble issue.

...I've run my rad box through 15 systems this morning, 15/15 had bubbles in the cards until they were shaken out.

Been watercooling for a very long time mate and koolance blocks are infamous for bubbles in those 2 corners.

Give your desktop a shake and watch in wonder as your pump starts to rev, then a couple bubbles pulse through the loop.

My understanding of the Koolance 590 blocks is that there was a 2nd revision...If you re-seat and the block still sits much higher, then you have a rev1//rev2...However, that still won't make the difference you claim.

You've swapped the hardware and the block so, the //ONLY// factor left that's undecided is your setup.

My best guess, as I said before, is that the bubbles in your CPU are being pushed out and forced into the 2nd koolance block...Not having a closed res means that there isn't enough pressure to force-feed the bubbles out...You could wash out your system 100 times and still have bubbles in there.

You also have to realize that in your loop, if it's non-serial, you're going 1core, 2core, 3core, 4core...The 4th core is ALWAYS the hottest because you've changed the delta through the 3 cores...

I should have power by tuesday...I really hate this state with a burning passion.
