I can't decide which display to play Batman: AC on with these DX11 problems..

Should I play it on my 60" plasma at 60hz/60fps now, or wait for the patch and play it and 120hz (and hopefully 120fps) on my 24" 120hz BenQ? There's a few reasons why I'm torn but am leaning towards the big screen:

First, I can't seem to get the FPS in game unlocked, even though I've changed every "bsmoothframerate" command to False that I could find in the config files in the documents tab and the steamapps/common tabs, so unless I'm missing one (which I may well be) I'm assuming not getting past 60 most of the time is due to the poor coding? Or is anyone else able to unlock their FPS in game under DX11?

Secondly, impatient to play this game and not wanting to play it on less than DX11 settings, I grabbed the incomplete (allegedly) leaked patch. Which didn't do anything but add maybe 10fps average on DX11. Unless, again, I missed one of the commands to unlock the FPS in the config files. So I ditched it, not really seeing much of an improvement at all.

So, with or without the leaked patch I get a decent 45-60fps on DX11 with tessellation turned down or off. The GPU's are barely pushed at all, maybe %20-%30 max.

That being the case, and it not being an online competitive MP game, I figured I'd play it on my 60" Kuro Plasma like I do with my console games. Which it is beautiful on and where I'm leaning towards. Plus it runs color correct on that display too.

Yet, my eyes have gotten really spoiled by 120hz. and I'm tempted to wait on the game until they get it properly patched so I can play it like that. Unless, I did miss something in the config files like I hope and can somehow get it working right now.

Ironically, the game being 3DVision ready, when played in 3D, pushed all four GPU's to the max and arguably does a better job of maintaining a constant 60fps more than playing in 2D.

So, I figure I'd get some opinions. What do you all think?

Play it now at around 45-60fps on a 60" plasma and go Big screen/Home Theater style for this game? or, Wait until its patched properly to play on my 24" 120hz 3D display? I am also tempted to play it in 3D, but its a pretty dark game for 3D without lightboost (if lightboost lives up to the hype, which reportedly it does)

Anyone else playing the game? What kind of results are you all getting?

Is the 590 being discontinued? I see that Newegg deactivated the EVGA 590s on their site. I have an EVGA 590 classified (air) and it's still within the return period. I have some concerns about it and if it's also being discontinued, I'm inclined to return it. My concerns are primarily operating temperature and VRAM. I've been testing the card with bf3 and I get temps averaging 81 and 85 on the GPUs. I also see the VRAM is maxed out. I'm running it on a new rig with 16gb of ram, an i7 2600k, SSDs and a single 120hz 1900x1080 monitor. The VRAM concerns me because when I pop in 3GB 580s, the VRAM runs even higher, at about 1650 or so. That said, I like the 590's relatively compact profile and noise level for this rig. The 580 classified's are probably overkill for this setup and when those fans spin up past 30% it gets pretty loud fast from there.

I'm curious if others have similar concerns. Appreciate any comments or insight.

Thanks.

The 590 was ALWAYS a limited release.

Limited release means there are no more.

And 1500 of Vram has ALWAYS been a limiting factor --

590 and 6990 were only limited time cards so ya but the temps are suppose to get up to ~80 thats safe tempsi think i read somewhere the max temp was around 110. and the vram isnt actually maxed out its something else like preloading stuff my vram at 1920x1080 hasnt went over 1.2Gb in BF3
