NVIDIA GTX 590 Owners Club - Page 347

Hello everyone. I am currently tinkering with my new build. I have 2 590's for SLI in my mATX case. Naturall, I only have one installed due to outrageously high temps (85+C in game). I have all the necessary components for liquid cooling, except for a pump.

Do you all thing that either of the following pumps will push enough fluid to cool 2 590's?
Danger Den DD-CPX1
Phobya DC12-400

I have a huge space issue in this case, because I want stock appearance. I only have (LxWxH): 3in x 2in x 3.5in for a pump.

What is in my box.
1x180mm rad.
2x180 phobya fans (push-rad-pull).
fesser tubing.
XSPC single bay reservoir.
Distilled water + kill coil.
Koolance VID-NX590
and the neccessary number of barbs and misc fittings.

only the GPU's in this loop. Temps pref under 70C at load?

please help, I would love to play some BF3 in surround...

180mm rad will not be enough to cool two 590s. Usually a 2x120mm rad is recommended PER 590. Keeping a stock appearance while cooling two 590s in a mATX case will be difficult to say the least.

Personally, I would avoid both of those pumps. I'd stick to the tried and true MCP-655 Vario or an MCP-355 or MCP-35X. I use the MCP-35X and it's one hell of a pump.

I will try to use the MCP-35, that would be a really tight fit...hopefully I can make it fit without too much case modding.

Do you think a single 180mm rad would be sufficient at stock clocks? I might be able to cram 2X180mm in there...one for each.

One for each would be better. For two I wouldn't chance it. A 120mmx2 is 288 square centimeters of rad and a 180 is 324 square centimeters of rad. The 180mm fan also most likely has a lower static pressure and will push through less air.

At stock volts and clocks with a top end of 70C you can probably get away with 2x180mm as long as they both get cool air. The 590 is definitely not a card you want running any hotter than it already does on air.

There's something completely screwy going on with the image upload. I can't load from my computer through OCN and OCN can't accept the link from ImageShack.

I guess I'm not meant to show that I actually own a pair of EVGA GTX590's, so to hell with it.

Check out these scores, whether you believe me or not. 3 3DMark 11 and 1 3DMark Vantage.

Oh. Friday the 13th. I get it now.

Hey what's up guys. So I'm looking into a dedicated PhysX card for my EVGA 590 / i5 2500k / 1050w psu. I'm trying to play Batman Arkham City. With all settings & tessellation maxed and PhysX off I get 60-80 FPS but when I turn PhysX on high I get 25-50 FPS.

-Has anyone seen any benchmarks for a 590 & dedicated PhysX card?
-Anyone have a dedicated PhysX card setup with the 590?

I have been searching everywhere and can't find any benchmarks and don't know which card I should go with that won't be overkill. Batman AC states for PhysX on high a dedicated PhysX card needs to be a GTX 460 or higher. Thanks.

BTW Batman AC PhysX is the best I've seen, but it definitely at least 3x as complex as Batman AA PhysX. It's gorgeous!

This is a known issue if you havent patched your batman.

SLI bridge finally came in. The center screws were short *** EK.. The 2 blocks on the bridge feel sturdy and heavy, no cards at this point. On the top block the plug closest to the bridge fitting was not clearing as is with most 1/2x3/4 so i had to file off a bit, rather do this than to have used a barb fitting

Yes I have patched it. Before the patch I was getting framerate in the single digits. So DX11 is much better now. It's when I turn on PhysX is whats boggs me down. But I see why it's the most complex PhysX engine I've seen.

Anyone use dedicated PhysX card with 590 or seen benchmarks for it running Batman AC w/ a dedicated card. Thanks
