So far a single 590 really makes me happy. I gave up on 3D gaming due to most games that i love are terrible or have minor issues that bug you so bad. So a 590 for 1080p 2d gaming is just fantastic for me.
I cant do 2d Surround as i dont have enough space. If i had space i would add another 590 but thats not going to happen.
Hey Masked, do you have any ideas if kepler will have 2 gpu single cards like a 690?

You know I can't answer that tongue.gif

Maybe thumb.gif

Quite personally, I'm waiting to see the 7990 ~ A dual GPU card for me, is ideal...I MIGHT go with 3x Kepler but, I'm reserving my decision until I see what they push retail.

You have to remember that the samples everyone has, aren't always being pushed to the retail market so, it's a very solid possibility that what's being reviewed and "leaked" isn't actually going to make it.

Haha lol great. I will be waiting for 690 than guitar.gif

Though like we discussed earlier a 590 will handle every game maxed for another 2 years so unless i see a 50% improvement i will definitely stick with my 590.

If only 3D gaming was much more compatible across all the games, and did not have any issues. bruce.gif

I've been giving a tremendous amount of thought to my gaming lately and I, quite honestly, feel as if I only need 2 monitors.

The 3 monitor thing is "nice" but, 2 is just so much easier.

Granted, gaming in 3 is difficult...I rarely, if ever, use my 3rd monitor.

Hmm interesting

How do you game with 2 monitors? I thought you could either game with 1 or 3 monitors lol

Hey masked i have one final question. More like a curiousity actually.

How do you feel about Windows 8? Will we be better of gaming in Win7? or do you believe we should jump to Windows 8 for gaming?

Actually, the beta for that was rejected until a later date...So, I can't answer that.

And, you don't game on 2 monitors, you game on 1.

Surround gaming is great in idea but, in reality there's no true arch yet so, while you see some-what peripherally it's not nearly "perfected" yet to actually qualify as vision and it really doesn't help in any game currently on the market...So, for me, it's fairly pointless.

I will game on 1 active monitor and have the other available for other things.

Very interesting.

I took the plunge as well and have been very happy with the performance over my 590. The 7970's are monsters indeed but, dont listen to the AMD fanboys that they say AMD driver issues are a thing of the past....They are not, such a complicated system! This reason alone will more than likely have me switching back to the green side for a pair of 680's if the price isnt more than the 7970.

I keep reading in different places that BF3 is well enough optimized that high end 580 users with only 1.5gb of vram are getting 120fps on 2560x1440 displays. This has me seriously considering getting a 2560x1600 display and running it dual style with my BenQ and switch back and forth for them between gaming depending on whether I want hi-rez or 3D/120hz

First I got to figure out which one to get in the 30" size. I hear conflicting reports about practically all of them.

I took a break from SWTOR to play some BF3 and Batman and Skyrim. The experience totally reminded me and reaffirmed why these cards rock so hard..

In Turkey we have few 590s left biggrin.gif
I am pretty much sure I can find a brand new one even a few months later.

They're very hard to get hold of in the UK - last I looked Scan.co.uk were out of stock completely (there is only one listed on the site, from ASUS). Novatech also only have one stocked which I think is the Gigabyte, (they only have one card in stock too) and it's priced at £730!
