However Image132 said that having a dedicated GPU next to a 590 actually gave him lower FPS. This is making me think the whole thing from the beginning.
Does anyone else with a 590 and a dedicated GPU for Physx can give tell their own experience?
Also i hear that 590 + Physx GPU will make the 590 run HOTTER. is that true?
Also @ Image132, which GPU did you use as a Physx card?

The idea of secondary card for Physx is that it takes the load off the primary card...So of course it works...It would work with any other card...

Of course it will be hotter...You're now running 2 cards in the same area where you previously had 1 card...Your ambient will increase.

I have a 590 and a 580 as a dedicated Physx ~ I'm on water so, I don't care about the ambients but, my rig never goes above 35, anyway so, for me, it's not a big deal.

Thank you for the response.

I am using a custom fan profile for my 590 GTX and the hottest i see is around 80-81 on fullload. Maybe sometimes a little spike until 83 but it always comes back. The fastest i see my GPU fan is 75% under this custom profile.

Should i be expecting a 90 degrees kinda hot when having a 2nd GPU?

if thats the case i will not be bothered with a 2nd GPU for Physx.

Also how do you like your setup in Physx games? Is it really worth it masked? Not that i will get a 580 for Physx GPu but i found a brand new 550Ti with life time warranty that is OCed factory at 975mhz. I am seriously thinking of getting it if there is a performance increase.

I don't know how your computer is cooled so I can't comment on your temperatures.

You're adding a 2nd card to the mix...In the same area so, of course it will generate heat.

I don't really play any Physx games in general and again, I can't comment on heat but, there is a performance increase...

Thank you.

I am actually thinking of taking some photos of my RIG in detail and tell every single component that i have. I wonder if i can do something about the cooling of my rig without water cooling. Maybe i can add some more FANS that could help.

Np, sorry I'm being so short ~ Talking on Skype w/a friend in Sweeden while I answer your Q's...

If you throw up some photos, I can tell you what you can do to keep the heat down without W/Cing -- That's not a challenge.

@ Masked

My friend please take your time, you can respond me whenever you have time as my questions are not urgent at all. Thank you so much for taking the time though

Here are some pics i took . If more needed please let me know.

I took the pics with my Iphone and if it is not clear enough i can take the pics with my Canon.

So here we go

This is how my Desktop sits under my Desk,

Here are the pics of the front, back and top of my CASE

Now on to the interior photos

I have a feeling that as things are right now, its not so smart to add a second GPU to the system.

Get some stand-offs so your case is raised @ 1-2in and add a fan blowing IN, next to your PSU ~ That will lower your temperatures, substantially.

I have my interior designer coming in 30 mins to do some work at the house. Getting a new aquarioum and having custom things built for it.

The stand under my PC was built by the same guy but for my older PC. I can now have him build me a new one as he can design it.

So basically i should tell him that i want something that will make my CASE stand 1-2 inches above the wooden thingie? and doesnt touch it right?

I always wanted to change it and this could be the perfect excuse.

Make it so your fans blow in the directions that I indicated with the green arrows. And if you are able to get a fan on the bottom next to the power supply (internally mounted, or externally) make it blow in as I indicated....

This will most likely be your best airflow solution without too much work.

In my opinion, unless you have a nvidia gpu sitting around doing nothing, don't buy a second card to do physx.... unless you are an extreme batman arkham city fan and play it every day.....
