actually they do see all three and use all three gpu's, i can run 2way sli in 3dmark 11 and im around 11k in 3way 14k and in quad over 16k .....so yes it sees and uses all three. i am running them in 3way because i no longer use a 3 monitor setup.

I'm in the same boat.

I'd still like to know if upping the voltages while keeping stock clocks in gaming are worth it, and/or improve performance? Because if not, then I'll just leave things be.

I just got off the phone w/my buddy at Nvidia and considering an entire driver-recreation would be necessary for this to happen and a custom SLI-Link...I'm calling 100% shens...Total BS.

I want pictures...You're a new member, I've tried this at Alienware and failed...Prove to me it's possible.

Not through DirectX because even a noob can jack their scores -- I want picture perfect proof that the SLI is enabled VIA Bios/Driver and proof of the SLI working in co-op.

Keep in mind, for this to work -- You'd need an entirely custom DX as well since tri-sli 590's isn't supported at the core of the programming.

This weekend I hooked up my wiring after flushing out all of my water cooling hardware, and the last thing I connected was my 590. Needless to say, after opening up the packaging I wasn't too happy with the length of the cables evga supplied, nor was I happy with the yellow wires sticking out in the two 8-pin connectors.

Does anyone know if there's a longer (matching pin) alternative 8-pin cable or extended power cables for the 590 out there? I tried the extended 8-pin at Fry's, but the pins didn't match.

Hey folks.

I have to ask a question.

Is 680 OCed better than 590 for sure?

I am thinking of grabing a 680 now and a second one later towards the end of summer.

Also our 590 is 768 bit and 680 is 256 bit.

What kind of a difference does this have?

I AM happy with my 590 but a friend of mine really likes the 590 a lot and wants to get a Dual Gpu card and a brand new one is out of stocks so he wants to get mine. He is in love with the 590s even more than I am.

NFI but your average joe with an overclocked 680 is only scoring less (3dmark2011) if not the same as an overclocked 590. Keep in mind that this is due to throttling by the drivers of the 590 in 3dmark11. The 590 is a faster card.

If I had someone ready to pay top dollar for my 590 i'd sell it and get a 680. Only because sli 680's use a hell of a lot less power.

Thank you emett for the answer...

I pretty much agree with everything you are stating. I ADORE my 590 and it is great for my needs but again the other party is really interested.

I can pretty much sell the 590 to him and get a brand new 680.

I am currently in a dilemma at the moment.

The thing is I can sell my 590 for around 600 US dollars here in Turkey and I will be visiting USA in June so I can grab myself a 680 around 550 US dollars with tax and etc.

I, now, have 3 680's and I'll be the first to tell you...They're not really worth the hype.

It is true that this is their "mid-range" so, would I sacrifice a 590 for it? No.

It's not mid-range in the sense of it's scores, obviously but, it is mid-range in terms of the hardware on the card.

Quite personally, I'd wait -- Sept/Oct was the date I received for round 2 and that's when the "real" 680 will be released...Get it then but, not now.
