Twins!! Congrats!! I'm jealous.

Anyways, I am surprised that the only cards that have melted were ASUS. I wonder what is going on. It's almost hard to believe.

You are also very brave to OC the twins just to prove a point. YOU ROCK. lol.

For whoever asked: the default voltage on my card is: .9130 volts and it stays constant like it should no matter what I throw at it.

Well, just completed my rig this week with the EVGA GTX-590 Classified Quad-SLI!

Here are some pics:

My idle temps are around 40C. Sometimes lower (~37C) but at load, the temps go up to 85-86C! Is that too high? Are those temperatures dangerous? I have left a gap between the cards (as you can tell from the pictures) so I'm not sure why it's getting so hot under load. I have 17 fans in my case and have the GTX-590 fans turned up to 75% manually during gaming.

However, add me to the list of owners of the GTX-590!

Some benchmarks with the GTX-590 Quad-SLI:

I contacted my Etailer and got an RMA number for my card.
I cannot, for the life of me, tolerate such throttling on a new card, that's worth that much money.

I noticed throttling easily. Just play games with EVGA precision in-game overlay..pick GPU clock monitoring, temps, and FPS...you'll see throttle-dips...sometimes one GPU throttling to 554MHz (evga class. here)...
I tried "adaptative" power management and also, maximum performance...

Now I'll figure out what to buy instead...I'd like 2 X 570s in SLI...but the 570 have 4vrms... they are build "weak in the knees"...common nVidia, take your head out of your....

For the price tag, you could buy approximately 3 x reference 6950s, unlock the bios's and have very high end performance.

Or purchase 2x 6970s as they have quality VRMs similar to the 6990s.

Omg...

Are you all too young to remember the 295? Honestly?

It's not throttling...It's going to take 3-4 months for this card to work and scale 100% the way it was "intended to".

I'm sick of this "OMG MY CARD IS THROTTLING"...No, it's not.

I have a 590 at home at 850mhz, an evga classy HC and it's absolutely NOT throttling...The drivers suck, absolutely but, that =/= throttling.

Many people don't know about Fermi's issues such as low GPU usage issues broken SLi performance

If thats what he wants to do he is entitled to do it. There is so much negativity around these cards I thought about returning it.

I have more to lose than most, not just my cash, but I am coming from twin GTX 580s.
