However i am going for vacation to USA and GPUS are way cheaper than when you compare it here in Turkey and I will take advantage of this situation.

Worst case scenario I can always sell my GPUs that i bought in USA to the same price as a 2nd hand GPU in Turkey smile.gif
I understand, even here in Portugal where the prices are not so bad, sometimes i get stuff from ebay with transport fees cheaper that i buy them here...rolleyes.gif
Harley exaust pipes as an example, €200 cheaper if i buy them overseas... thumb.gif
the only problem you might face in the US is the avaliability of the 670/80. frown.gif

Okay, don't have time to do an entire search of the thread but what's the deal with the 590's? I know the whole blowing up catastrophe was party the drivers but what are the maximum safe values? If I was going to get one it'd be under water and have a back plate and be running very cool the entire time. Which voltage and clocks should I stay under? What's the safe range?

I don't want to blow up a $650 card when I'm on a student's salary :3

Hey all - Thinking of picking up a 590 soon. What is the current state of drivers? I realize since this is way after launch things have probably been sorted out but I was wondering if there was a running list anywhere with any unresolved issues.

i currently have a 580 that is on its way out with no RMA options available so I was hoping that this would be a nice upgrade now that prices have dropped.

Any insight into what I'm getting into? I've read a bunch of threads but so many were from over a year ago, I can't be certain if things have been addressed in subsequent drivers.

Thanks

The latest beta drivers had been amazing for my 590.

Every game was running smooth. BF3 was exceptionally good.

Overall great purchase.

How much will you be paying for it?

Just an update: I did what a good father would, I think. Found him an EVGA Classified 590 to replace it.

Thanks - I'm paying just about $500 for it. I figure I get a little more performance than a 680 for the same money and if it craps out I should be able to get something cool in RMA to replace it.

I also want to stick with a one card solution and not go SLI, so this seems like a good bet.

590 is still in play... You will never regret the decision.

It is a card that the problems are solved. Latest drivers run perfect with the 590, but they seem to have rare issues with the 6xx series cards.

The 590 is very well built so you will not have the need to send it to RMA i am sure of it :) I mean it is a technological thing and anything can be broken but the 590 is a tough card.

On stock 590 outperforms 680 by a small margin too. Since it is a dual GPU card .

Notice how 590 outperforms 680 or a 670 in Metro 2033 and Crysis 2.

In battlefield the difference in smaller but still 590 leads.

The only reason I switced to Kepler was to run 670 SLI. Which outperforms 590 though but of course costs more.

After 690, I can easily say that 590 is the best performing card out there. (besides Asus Mars II which is a rare GPU performs like a 690)

Enjoy the card bro.
