Oh that sucks man. Someone needs to find a way to bypass the lock in the driver

I would probably try to get the Bios of that GTX 590 that comes factory overclcoked to 690Mhz that one may add a little extra voltage.

On My Zotac GTX 480 I found the best Bios for me to be the Bios from the EVGA GeForce GTX 480 Hydro Copper FTW.

Yeah what soilentblue said. I'm on the original Asus bios as well and the voltage is capped at 925mV.

And I just got my AX1200 installed

AX1200 is an amazing PSU...Swear by them now!

I'm working on re-writing the driver actually but, I found quite a few people on the forum having issues w/1 of our mobile drivers so, I'm working on that atm.

Soon, though, soon!

I wouldn't increase the voltage on these puppies if I were you. nVidia is capping them with the drivers because they blow up quicker then 570's. 4 phases per GPU just isn't enough. They are also downclocking the poo out of them when currant limit gets high. nVidia is pumping out the poorest PCBs I've ever seen. Now they're try'n to cover their butts with these new neutered drivers. It's just to sad and I'm a big NV fan.

Google "dead GTX 590" and you'll see what I mean.

Yeah but some people have got some descent overclock 725-750Mhz with just a minor bump and now they can't get that. HOCP only used 0.963v which isn't much at all.

I'm sticking to the old drivers until I can get one edited pushed out for you guys.

I was doing 750-800mhz at .95; 850mhz at 1.00

My card didn't explode, I really don't see how .95 or even .925 is a crime to be quite honest.

I think the consensus is that even though you can push 750-800, you are not getting the constant volts/amps needed to maintain that oc. Noone has successfully kept it overclocked at that level while still seeing a consistant performance increase.

for the record i definitely want the card to succeed. i'm just wary that it's too much. only thing giving me hope Masked is that nvidia said before all this "blowing up stuff" that you could volt up to 1.05 so apparently they have successfully got that high without problems. Not sure if they knew the ocp would kick in though.

In [H]'s benches, it can be seen that 750mhz makes a big difference with only a small voltage increase...

If there truly is an OCP // "throttling" issue, it's clearly with how the card is handling the power management of the 2nd core.

We didn't see that in the first 2 drivers, only the 3rd/4th.

So I think there is some success to be had UNDER 1.00v; perhaps .95 is the magic number?

Hi guys.

Here is my OCed Asus GTX 590 card + EK waterblock:

Currently the card is using the latest drivers (270.51) and is OCed to:
723Mhz Core/ 1446Mhz Shaders/ 3700Mhz Memory (see attachments)
