I've been getting 55-60@750mhz.

1 thing I have been noticing (over-zealous or not) is the difference between gaming and benching.

Say I pull out metro...The card is running well, cores are at 80/80 ~ Even usage...90/85 etc, even enough to say it's working as intended.

The moment I pull up and bench, like Heaven or 3Dmark, I see 80/50, 70/20, 100/40...This is a major issue to me...

If we do a bit more research via Aida, core 1 is at .913, core 2 is at .950 ~

If I reset the card to stock settings and run the same bench, I get the same results only a little less extreme...70/50, 60/40...However, it's obvious the 2nd core is still being limited.

In editing my drivers, I find there are several lines of code controlling the max voltage on the cores themselves...Which, if the card is ramping up to 100%, the 2nd core would then be limited because it's already +@.4v over the 1st core.

What it doesn't explain is why we see such good performance in gaming, even to the extent of 100/100 vs benching where we see something like 80/40.

It definitely explains the reviews, especially when overclocked...Which, I'm also shocked not a single one of them bothered to test core 1v vs core 2v...They simply just popped the voltage to 1.2...No wonder they fried...Seriously!

I'm on the fence...In looking at these drivers...I don't really understand what they're thinking -- Jacob on EVGA is definitely 100% though, benches are not functioning correctly, they're actually cutting down performance a tremendous amount.

Don't remember ~ It's been linked and ref'd quite a few times...Was just re-linked yesterday in another thread.

Basically the drivers aren't controlling the window correctly and thus the benches are not performing properly...Ontop of that, the card attempts to overvault and hits a wall...

The 2nd core voltage is higher than the first so, the 2nd core is already hitting the wall when the core attempts to increase the voltages.

Wall

Benches and SOME games are illustrating this wall; some more than others.
