The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 is the most powerful DirectX 11 graphics card ever built. With a sleek exterior that houses dual 512-core GTX 500 GPUs and a custom vapor chamber cooler, the GeForce GTX 590 delivers high-end performance with quiet operation.

^^Sure thing. I'm already pressing the limit of my psu. I'm maxing out at 559W on a 620HX and can hear some coil whine. Until I get a new psu I'm going to hold off on OCing. For now its just a plain old *cough* stock asus gtx 590.

yeah sure thing I wouldn't OC with a 620w unit either, whatever the unit is. I'm planning on a PSU upgrade in the near future as well. Preparing for socket 2011/1365 when it comes out. And it probably wouldn't hurt my 590 either.
Yeah, my next major upgrade will be the 1366 replacement.
I think I may order a new psu today. I can't stand not having enough headroom to push the limit even though my box is already a space heater. I need to keep my window cracked when its 30-40F outside. Overclocking the 590 will turn this place into a scorched wasteland.
Seeing the price of the hydro copper it looks like it might make sense to get an aftermarket waterblock if I end up going down the water cooled path.
Sucks for him, he just bought that whole new i7 2600k + GTX590 system...
The card only lasted him for 3 hours.............................
And he did not OC it, and his PSU is a Strider 1500W which is one of the bests, I am starting to think all th GTX590 have an internal problem, it's not right they're burning even without OC, this aint the first case
So yeah, he'll ahve to RMA, but i dont know of they'll take the RMA for his P67 motherboard..

if the system was completely new the problem might have been a defective component. Sure the 590 might have a bit fragile VRMs but I think I'll reserve my judgement for a while so that we can see how much of the cards go. Not many people have their cards yet.

not yet sadly, I think most of us are still waiting for the cards. There are few guys who have got theirs but haven't posted anything about OCs, not with proof anyways.
Have 2 that will be here on Wednesday I suspect, although I am very hesitant about opening now with rumors flooding the internet of random card death.
Its hard to tell fact from fiction as to whats going on. Lifetime warranty from EVGA should cover that though, still would prefer not to go through that hassle.
Alatar you should do a members list with google spreadsheet, and then we can keep track of driver performance, benchmarks and other things. This might help like those that had the 295 issues. Some drivers being better than others, ya know?
