Ripjaws X 2133MHZ vs. DOMINATOR GT 2133MHZ

Thread Starter
DOMINATOR GT 2133MHZ 4GB KIT:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145316

G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 4GB

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231451

I am getting a 2600K and ASUS P8P67 Deluxe so I was wondering which ram would be better. I think the G.SKILL would be because of its timings and its running the same speeds as the DOMINATOR too.

That is a lot for only 4GB ram. Even if its 2133, I would rather get the 2x4gb Gskill 1600mhz at 1.25v. You can probably get it faster than that ram and still save money while getting more memory. Here is the link

Why not save some money and go for something like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231419

You could get two of those kits for what you'd spend on a single 2133 kit. Just my $0.02.

EDIT: If you are not concerned with cost, go for the G.Skill 2133 kit. They are cheaper and faster than the Dominator kit.

4gb dual channel kits that cost that much is not worth it_

** On a side note: (Those active cooling fan setup for the ram is impractical and useless(Just looks cool & wastes valuable power)

If your gonna spend that much money on ram might as well save an extra 50 so dollars and get these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231435&Tpk=Ripjaws%20X

You'll be future proofing yourself(so down the road you won't regret not having enough ram)

These are even better valued**

Ripjaws for the lilttle better price, better timings and the color scheme to match with your board too.
