Update5:

Well, there is a giant storm that is about to be here, so I decided to quit now and go ahead and post an update.

So I went and purchased the last of the wood that I should need for this project a little while ago. I sanded them up and began to put the first coat on them.

I also cut out the middle shelf that will sit inside the cabinet, however I did not get a picture of it since I was in a hurry to put everything away so it wouldn't get soaked. Here is a test fit of the trim on the cabinet. Fits perfect.

I then drilled a hole in each side. This will be for one of the surprises later. I am sure some of you might could guess what it will be used for.

And then I put the final coat on some of the pieces I had out.

Well hopefully if the storm isn't too bad I will get back out there in a few hours and flip over some of the wood and paint the other side of them. We will see. Until next time...

I am going to put another coat on them in an hour or so and if all goes well that should be it for all those pieces and all I will have left if the shelf and a few odds and ends. Tomorrow, this thing will start looking good.

Update6:

So today nothing special happened. Just a few more coats of finish here and there. I say about 98% of the finish are done now. The only major things left on my to do list now are making the doors and the wine glass holders. Pretty much everything else is good to go. So here is everything set up drying after the final coat on this side.

Then I sanded and sealed the last sheet that will make up part of the doors.

Now for the fun part...well for you guys.

Cathodes for the cabinet? Yes I think so.
What could be better than cathodes in a liquor cabinet? Sleeved cathodes in a liquor cabinet of course! I had to make the wires longer anyways.

Extending the wires

So purty

All done

Well that is where I stand as of now guys. Hope you are ready for this thing to be finished, cause I sure am.

Hehe you wish. Send me a check then we have a deal. But I got a little bit more done on it after my last update, but not too much. Mainly what I did was figure out a few things about how I was going to do a few parts, namely the doors. Progress is slowing down, but in the final stages this is where most of the work takes place. Making the doors is a major project in itself. Anyways, im done for tonight at least. I am not sure how much I will get done tomorrow but we will see.
