you see what i did there?
i just don't get this PC fanboy mentality. you built your own computer, good for you. get online and tell everyone how clever you are. mock the peons that dare buy something prebuilt!
every new thread that pops up ends up in some kind of flamewar.
has anyone owned an apple or alienware? no, they just flame it anyway assuming what they built is superior.
what fails to register a lot around here is that different people have different circumstances.
i did some research on a gaming laptop to replace my old one. let me tell you what a wonderful collection of "pfft, noob" that was.
has it ever occurred to people that not everyone is home all the time, has time to fix problems with their computers, or wants to deal with the headache of troubleshooting/rma-ing?
lets take a step back and apply this to other things:
if you don't change your own oil and do all of your own maintenance then you're an idiot. everything is out there on the internet if you look.
you drive a mercedes? pfft, noob. my '98 honda civic has a better power to weight ratio so it's obviously better.
had someone build your house for you? look at you richie rich, just throwing away money like it's nothing.
use your imagination to fill in the rest.
what it comes down to is not everyone is in the same situation as you. so instead of instantly calling everyone an idiot who pays more than the bare minimum how about you just respect their choices. no one is forcing you to buy an alienware.
