Hulu is one of the more resource hungry flash sites around. It might be possible for the system to play some 720p YouTube videos but it will stutter with Hulu 360p fullscreen.
Besides, AVI usually uses DivX or Xvid. Flash sites tend to use MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 which is much more difficult to decode.
Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I think I'm going to have to scrounge up some secondary parts and build a new system for an HTPC.
What would you say would be the minimum for a 1080p streamed content machine? I know a Sempron 140/145 (AM3, overclocked) can handle it, I have one. I have access to a lot of Intel low end stuff from P4's to low end C2D's, plus once in a while I spot some 939/AM2 stuff coming in as well.
